M&P CONFERENCE 2024
Creativity. Community. Continuity.
This year’s Marketing & Publicity Conference took place on 1st July at County Hall, London. The conference leaned into elements of our roles which inform so much of what we do. The day focused on our ability to think and respond with creativity; the nurturing and growth of our professional and reader community; and the way in which we use both of those elements to foster continuity: a sense of long-term thinking, agile use of existing resource, and relationship-building that goes far beyond individual campaigns.
Programme highlights included keynote speeches from HarperCollins’ director of marketing strategy Hannah O’Brien and founder of Ness Labs Anne-Laure Le Cunff. There were talks from Spotify, Canva, Waterstones and more as well as panels covering the industry’s most pressing subjects like events, trends and thinking creativity against a deadline. What’s more, delegates experienced one-to-one surgeries with publishing experts and took park in invigorating creativity sprints to kickstart their campaigns.
