Dobey’s vow
Chris Dobey has vowed to make it back to the Premier League Darts after being snubbed of this year’s competition.
He told Darts Online: “I’m knuckling down, I’m putting the work in and hopefully I can get back there.
“Obviously I don’t want to drop out of the top-16, that’s one of my big goals.
“It took me a while to get into the top-16, just baby steps and as long as I can stay in there then I’ll be happy.”
Van Gerwen’s Saudi plea
Michael Van Gerwen has urged the PDC to move the World Championship away from Alexandra Palace to a “great” venue in Saudi Arabia.
He told The Daily Mail: “[It] will be great, I think.
“They wanna make sports big in that country. You saw the big boxing marches there, the football there…
“For me, I don’t mind where I play. I will be competing, and that’s how it is.”
Light work for Littler
Luke Littler breezed into the next round of the US Darts Masters with a 6-0 win over Matt Campbell.
And it took the 17-year-old all of TEN MINUTES to dispose of the Canadian.
He said: “I couldn’t wait to get on that stage tonight. I felt really comfortable, everything just went well and I can’t wait to play tomorrow now.
“With the amount of top athletes that have performed here, it would mean the world to lift this trophy, and hopefully I can go all the way.”
