A monthly book club focusing on climate change and the environment is being launched at Lairg.
Heather Bruce, who is based at Lairg and District Learning Centre and is the project officer for the Highland Community Waste Partnership, is initiating the book club with the aim of encouraging more people to get involved in the climate change conversation.
The club will be held in Lairg Library on the last Thursday of each month between 10.30am and 11.30am, with a provisional start date of July 25. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available.
Members will be asked to read one book each month and discuss it at the next meeting. Books will be provided by the library. The books will be mainly fiction.
