Air fryers have become a kitchen staple, sparking a demand for specialised recipes that require minimal clean-up. This has led to a surge in popularity of air fryer cookbooks, with Pinch of Nom Air Fryer: Easy, Slimming Meals topping Amazon’s Book Charts even before its official release.
Pinch of Nom, the 5-million copy bestselling authors, have several cookbooks to their name, but their latest compilation is one they claim has been highly requested. The air fryer cookbook – which is £10 at Amazon, Waterstones and WH Smith – promises ‘super-easy, calorie-counted and utterly delicious air fryer recipes’, although it’s worth mentioning that each recipe includes calorie counts, which could be triggering for some individuals.
The cookbook features a mix of brand-new recipes and adaptations of Nom’s classic and most-loved dishes, all designed specifically for an air fryer. Each recipe has undergone triple testing and is accompanied by a photograph to guide you on how the final dish should look.

The book also highlights meals that can be prepared in under 30 minutes, clearly indicating the preparation and cooking times. Plus, there’s no need to hunt for obscure ingredients as the recipes utilise ‘easy-to-find’ items.
As the book hasn’t been released yet, it’s difficult to gauge public opinion. However, last year’s release, Pinch of Nom Express: Fast, Delicious Food, boasts an impressive average rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars from over 2000 reviews collected in just six months, reports Wales Online.
One delighted customer exclaimed: “Another fabulous book from pinch of nom. The recipes are easy to understand and each recipe tells you if you can freeze it, what products contain gluten so need to be swapped for a gluten free alternative if you’re gluten free. Also if its dairy free and how hot the recipes are. Love this book.”
Another eager reader couldn’t hide their excitement: “Just when I thought the Pinch of Nom books couldn’t get any better, this arrived through my letterbox today! It’s AMAZING! ! ! ! So many delicious looking recipes that I can’t wait to try. I’m planning out my meals already. I love that quite a few of the recipes have multiple cooking methods, so I can use my air fryer or slow cooker as well as my hob or oven.”
Adding to the praise, a third fan shared: “There’s also lots of tasty looking vegetarian recipes that my daughter will be excited about. Thank you Kay and Kate and all of the Pinch of Nom team! You’ve smashed it out of the park again with another incredible book! “.
However, not everyone was happy, with one person saying: “I bought this book as I’ve bought previous Pinch of Nom books. The problem I have with this book is that it has so many recipes I wouldn’t want to make or eat. I’m always looking for straightforward meals that will not only feed me but the family too. The recipes just aren’t appealing to me. Really disappointed.” Another said: “Thought there would be more recipes I would like to try in it but guess that just my preferences.”
Whilst ‘Pinch of Nom’ has become a sensation, its worth noting the competition isn’t far behind with other tantalising titles such as ‘Gluten Free Air Fryer: Over 100 Fast, Simple, Delicious Recipes‘. Hot off the press earlier this month, this challenger has quickly amassed hundreds of ratings, boasting a near-perfect score of 4.9 out of 5 stars.
