There will be plenty to do in Bradford and Innisfil Saturday and Sunday. Here’s what’s planned for the coming days:
Bike safety rodeo
All elementary school students are invited to this free event at Alcona Glen Elementary School (1310 Innisfil Beach Rd.) on Saturday, June 8 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Young riders can have their bicycles inspected and helmets properly fitted. There will be lots of fun activities and a bicycle safety course to show off some budding skills. More details can be found at southsimcoepolice.on.ca.
Book sale returns
The Friends of the Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library will host a giant used book sale on June 8 and 9. The event will be held at the library (425 Holland St. W.) Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. More details can be found at calendar.townofbwg.com.

Huronia Hot Strings: Live in BWG
Enjoy an afternoon of ‘Jazz Manouche’ as popularized in 1940s Europe by Django Reihardt, Stéfan Grappelli and the Hot Club De Paris. Insights into the history and development of this exciting style of jazz will be provided by Huronia Hot Strings band leader Tom Malone. This is part of the Kool FM Barrie Jazz and Blues Festival.
